Why i do this work
Hi, I'm Eileen.
Certified Pilates teacher, certified integrative somatic practitioner, and a working writer with credits at Netflix, Sony Pictures Animation, and HBOMax. I'm the founder of Embody with Eileen and the Body of Work practice and as the old adage goes, I'm not only the founder. I'm also a client.
I know firsthand what it costs to hold it all together in high-pressure creative environments. My own turning point came through personal loss arriving at the same moment my son came into the world. Grief and new life at the same time. My body had been asking for my attention for years, and that moment made it impossible to ignore. Reading Bessel Van Der Kolk's The Body Keeps the Score gave me language for what I'd already been sensing: the way our bodies hold stress long after the moment has passed, the way we keep pushing when everything in us is asking us to slow down. That insight didn't replace my movement background. It deepened it. And it changed my writing.
There's a myth in creative culture that your best work comes from pushing through. From burning the candle at both ends and calling it dedication. But your greatest creativity doesn't come from depletion. It comes from a regulated nervous system, a body that feels safe, and a mind that has enough space to actually create.
I work with women who have big, full, beautiful lives. Women who are building, raising, creating, and carrying a lot. Women who want to feel physically strong, emotionally steady, and genuinely at home in who they are. So they can show up fully for the work that matters most to them.
In our work together, your body gets a voice and your nervous system gets a seat at the table.
I'm here to help you feel strong and steady, inside and out. Because your best work starts there.

MY APPROACH
You're not here to be fixed. You're here to be supported. My work blends Pilates, integrative somatic practices, and nervous system regulation tools because they are all connected.
BODY FIRST | SCIENCE-BACKED
Your body holds more information than your mind gives it credit for. We start there, with breath, movement, and sensation because that's where real change begins.
The tools I use are grounded in research on the nervous system, trauma, and how we regulate under stress. This isn't wellness woo-woo. It's practical, evidence-based support that meets you where you are.
